About us - Interota

Interota is a triennial worldwide Rotaract convention organized by Rotaractors and hosted on a rotating basis in different cities. While it is not an official RI convention, Rotary recognizes the value of this event and supports Interota by approving its program content and ensuring that RI leadership is represented at the event. The convention offers workshops, discussions, and interesting speakers as well as cultural activities. What is Rotary?

Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who come together to make positive, lasting change in communities at home and abroad.Solving real problems takes real commitment and vision. What is Rotaract?

Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored club for young men and women ages 18-30 that meets twice a month to exchange ideas, plan activities and projects, and socialize. Its membership totals over 291,000 in more than 9,000 clubs worldwide. A Rotaract Club is either community-based or university-based, which is sponsored by a local Rotary Club. Rotary Clubs offer guidance and support, making the Rotaract Clubs true "partners in service" and key members of the family of Rotary.

Rotary International District 3450

Rotary International District 3450 (Hong Kong / Macao / Mongolia / The People’s Republic of China - Guangdong Province) currently consists of more than 8,600 Rotaractors who aged 18 to 30 and are passionate in community and international service. They serve in 73 Rotaract clubs including university-based clubs and community-based clubs.

Programme Highlights

Peace 2020 Service Marathon

Service is a very essential element to Rotaract, and it is no exception to INTEROTA 2020 Hong Kong. We will bring participants to have a taste of serving the Hong Kong community. The 2020-minute service marathon symbolizes the year 2020, and we as Rotaractors’ endurance to fulfill our motto: Fellowship Through Service.
The dinner is a special occasion that all participants will be served with meat-free food, to echo with a social startup group named Green Monday, which aims to promote a low-carbon and sustainable lifestyle.

Handover Ceremony

INTEROTA 2020 Hong Kong is scheduled to overlap both Rotary Years 2019-2020 and 2020-2021, to organize a memorable handover ceremony that is in a global scale. Not only for DRRs, but also for Club Presidents, with audience from all over the world to witness this unforgettable moment, where some will be relieved from their office, some will take the vow to continue to build a better world.

Graduation Party / Rotary Year Countdown Party

The countdown party is a precious moment for all participants to celebrate the fruitful Rotary Year 2019-2020 and send their blessings to the upcoming board members. Moreover, for some Rotaractors, it is the time that they graduate from Rotaract life. It is a chance for us to pay tribute for their contribution to the Rotary family, to the community for the past years, and pass on their spirit to the new generation.
